Of or concerning all those two closes of land, arable meadow or pasture with the appurtenances lying and being in Pudsey aforesaid called by the names of the Dogslandare (?) Close and the Sheep Close now in the tenure or occupation of the said David BARRACLOUGH or his assigns.              heretofore Sarah RICHARDSON Spinster of the one part and
             Thomas ELLISON of Birkenshay in Gomersal Yeoman of the other part

Dwellinghouse or tenement, barn and close of land called the Croft all at Birstal Smithies now in the possession of Benjamin WIGGLESWORTH. Two other closes called the Moothill Closes in the possession of Benjamin WIGGLESWORTH and John BARRACLOUGH. Two other closes, one called Brearey Storrs and the other adjoining on the east to the dwellinghouse of Grace GOTT Widow and now in her possession. All which said four closes are at Moothill in Birstal and all which premises aforesaid are in the Township of Gomersal and were heretofore the Inheritance of Thomas RICHARDSON of Birstal Smithies Blacksmith deceased and by him given and devised to the aforesaid Sarah his sister. The property was purchased for the sum of £100 with interest.

Which said close abutts upon the lane leading from Cottingley Bridge to Gilstead commonly called Heley Lane or Heley Syke.

A Memorial of an Indenture dated 6th March 1773 made between Stephen BARRACLOUGH of Wibsey in the Township of North Bierley in the Parish of Bradford and County of York Yeoman and Hannah his wife and Hannah LONGBOTHAM of the same place Widow (which said Hannah BARRACLOUGH is the only child and heiress and the said Hannah LONGBOTHAM is the Widow and Relict of William LONGBOTHAM late of Wibsey Yeoman deceased) of the one part and Joshua HODGSON of Wike in the said County Clothier of the other part. Of and concerning a messuage or tenement and barn at North Bierley. Also a parcel of ground called Morley Carr formerly in one close but now divided into six closes containing twenty four days work. Also all that close or croft called Longbotham Croft also in North Bierley lately occupied by the said William LONGBOTHAM but now in the tenure of the said Stephen BARRACLOUGH. Also three cottages or dwellinghouses in Wibsey now occupied by William ROOKS, Elijah CARTER and Joseph CARTER. Of and concerning a messuage or dwellinghouse with the barn, stables and other outbuildings at North Bierley now occupied by the said Stephen BARRACLOUGH. Also several cottages or tenements at North Bierley now or late occupied by William BROOKS, Elijah CARTER, Abednigo THORNTON and Richard THOMAS. Also four closes or parcels of ground at North Bierley called the Little Ing, the Four Days Work, the Low Carr and the Great Ing containing thirteen and a half days work now in the proper occupation by the said Stephen BARRACLOUGH. Also three closes or parcels of ground at North Bierley called the Fountain Field, the Little Carr and the Low Ing containing eight days work now or late occupied by Benjamin CROWTHER. Also two closes or parcels of ground at North Bierley called the Three Days Work and the Middle Carr containing five days work now or late occupied by Joseph TORDOFF. Description of Lands: All that freehold messuage or dwellinghouse and it's site and appurtenances together with the land thereto adjoining known as Penny Close Farm situate at Wibsey Bank in the Parish of Bradford aforesaid containing two acres and thirty perches or thereabouts called or known as Truncliffe Closes situate at Odsal Top at Wibsey aforesaid abutting in part on Wibsey Low Moor and containing together ten acres and twenty three perches or thereabouts which said messuage, lands and hereditaments were formerly in the occupation of Joseph BARRACLOUGH but lately of the said Testor William BARRACLOUGH. Together with all and singular houses, outhouses, buildings, yards, folds, gardens, ways, water, watercourses, commons, common of pasture and turbary rights, lights, hedges, ditches, drains, thithes, liberties, priileges and appurtenances whatsoever to the said hereditaments and premises or any part thereof belonging or in anywise appertaining or therewith heretofore used, occupied or enjoyed or reputed as part thereof.
